Fundraisers

South Carolina Lions use a variety of activities to raise funds for its many worthy projects. These fundraising activities include selling brooms, light-bulbs, fruit cakes, Christmas fruit, and holding yard sales. Our state wide fund raiser is Candy Day held in the fall of each year. There are various other fund-raising projects used by South Carolina Lions.

The Spartanburg Lions Club participates in broom sales and Candy Day and other fundraisers. Each fall, we provide a hotdog and hamburger booth at the Piedmont Interstate Fair. We also sponsor an annual golf tournament.

Remember that 100% of the proceeds received from these fund-raisers are used to fund the service projects of the local Lions' dubs. Each member of the Lions Club pays dues which is used for adminis­trative expenses. Lions members receive no pay, but consider our lives enriched because we have helped our fellowman in need.
